There are many reasons a software download might stall.
First, make sure that the process is actually stopped and not just proceeding slowly. Each of our software programs is over half a GB in size. If you have a slow internet connection, it can take an hour or more to fully download. Let the process run for 10 or 15 minutes and see if the progress bar has moved. (The download should take about 7-10 minutes on a normal connection.)
Next, if you are sure the download has stalled, determine where your download stopped and look for notifications about why it stopped.
The download happens in two phases: first, a small installation manager is downloaded. This should take a few seconds, and you can find it in your Downloads folder. Phase 2 happens when you run the installer, which downloads and installs the full program.

- You have a poor internet connection
- Your antivirus program blocks the download
If the installer is in your Downloads folder, double click it to restart phase 2. If it still fails, these articles may help:
If none of this works, try the download on a different connection, such as at a campus library, a public restaurant, or a family member's house.
