QTCF.dll is another way to refer to Quicktime, which is the media player used in our software programs. If you do not have Quicktime installed on your computer yet, you will need to install it now. The version found at this link works on all versions of Windows, including Windows 10:
There is a known error on Windows 8 and 10 where Quicktime can be installed incorrectly. So it is possible for you to install Quicktime and still receive an error message in our software that you do not have Quicktime installed. Fortunately, there is a workaround.
First, try repairing your copy of Quicktime:
- Right click on the Start button of your computer (lower left corner). In the menu that appears, choose Programs and Features at the top.
- In the next menu that comes up, scroll down to Quicktime and click it once to highlight it.
- Toward to the top of the menu you now see a list of options such as Uninstall, Change, and Repair. Click Repair. Proceed through the guided process.
When the repair process is finished, restart your computer. Then try running the software program again.
Second, if Quicktime still does not work, uninstall Quicktime from your computer. Then install an alternate version, Quicktime Lite, which you can find here:
